I'm 72, and I've had cats all my life. They find all kinds of weird little things to bat around. My kitty (Rose) climbed onto my lap and stole the cap from my water bottle. She DOES make me laugh!

Definitely! As a cat owner for 29 years, I'd advise get them a cardboard box, throw some oatmeal seeds into a pot to grow some herbs for them, and try different stuff from the outside (string beans are a good option, seeds also work). Also, some cats enjoy crushed papers a lot.

Ponytails or hair ties are definitely a favorite cat toys too. Then random strings as well. But cat toy wands and laser pointers are normally a good buy

I bought my cat a fancy scratching post, got it out of the packaging and put it together. Then my cat came **prancing** into the living room with a zip-tie I'd cut to remove the fancy scratching post from its packaging. That was her favourite toy for months. It was later replaced by a larger zip-tie from a cat-tree.

My kitty's favourites were crunched-up paper balls, plastic/paper bags & a tiny Elmo plushie that she carried with her everywhere she went.

yep. cats are usually like this. they'll sleep in a box, on the floor, on the couch, or on your bed before sleeping on their own. they'll play with scraps and other odd things laying around the house instead of toys (unless there's catnip in it). they're strange creatures but i love them all the same.

Yep, my cat Bandit wont play with any actual toy I've bought her. And when she does, she doesnt do so as intended. Yet still, everytime when I say I've given up, once I see something I think she'll like, I still get it.

They are all the same. My little girl loves to bring feathers, leaves and sticks to us, she even runs to the front door and growls when people come to the door 😂❤ I'm sure she thinks she's a dog.

Yup! The plastic ring from the milk jug, the plastic pull tab from cartons of half an half, empty toilet paper rolls, straws, packing peanuts… all favorited more than any cat toy I have bought

They like strings that YOU drag around and play with them and those fur mice come 3 in a pack and they LOVE those! 🎉

Nope… you my friend are not alone. We have 3 cats and they have toys galore. What do they play with? My long hair, a phone cord, shoe laces or a bottle cap… 🤣🤣

I swear you speak nothing but truth, I nod my head in agreement to every short you put out. My cats, favorite toy is when I take the fur from their brush and then rub it in my hands together and make it like a little felt disc and they go crazy over it.

I used to have a kitty that loved Q-tips. She even figured out how to open the drawer they're kept in.

The twisted handles of paper bags... The felt pads that came off the bottom of our chairs, the plastic wrap from around a bottled drink... Most of all, an empty toilet paper tube. My girlie meows with so much pride when she carries one of those around.
