How A FAKE High School Football Team Got On ESPN... (Bishop Sycamore)

ESPN thought it was broadcasting a game between two of the countries best high school football teams on Sunday, but it didn’t take long for the announcers to realize that wasn’t the case. The matchup featured IMG Academy, one of, if not the best team in the nation and... Bishop Sycamore, a school that isn’t a real school and has never actually won a game. So, how the hell did this happen?

This totally redefines what a “fantasy football team” is.

Bishop is giving me a second shot of living my dreams….. 27 and proud to announce I’ll be using the remaining of my high school eligibility 10 years later to play one season at Bishop.

I love that shot of the head coach drinking the Gatorade. He's like "idk wtf I'm doing but if I drink this it'll look like I'm experienced"

I love how this bounces between, "they are all a bunch of adults" and "no one is looking out for these kids" over and over.

It blows my mind that IMG scheduled Bishop Sycamore again. Like fr they already played them in 2020, they had to have known before all of us

It is ESPN’s fault for hiring such an incompetent third party company. And for not Googling the teams they are commenting on.

How the hell does 30 kids and "coach" with an arrest warrant go on national television and make ESPN look like a laughing stock, welcome to 2021.

Bishop Sycamore is like what happens when you use "create a team" in NCAA and give all the players sub-60 ratings. I never thought I'd see someone do this in real life.

Legend has Bishop Sycamore was trying to " a 10 Star recruit" that transferred from Polk High that once scored 4 touchdowns in a game.

ESPN is absolutely not without fault here, same with IMG who is obviously just gladly playing litteraly anybody that will agree to play them...high school or not.

I am happy to announce that I have just been accepted to Bishop Sycamore!
They guaranteed me I would play 100% of snaps

To be fair, IMG barely qualifies as a real school itself, it's a year-round sports program full of HS graduates taking a prep year before going to a top college program on the fastest possible track to the NFL. That's why BS could play them, nobody else wants to.
