I really appreciate that we can say "I'm unhauling this, but not because it was bad. I liked it, but I just don't need to own it". I've gotten really strict with what I keep. I basically only keep books if they are 4 or 5 stars, or if there's some special reason I have it.

I recently unhauled around 75 books by listing them for sale online, and it feels so nice to have such a smaller physical library. Now my new mindset with buying books is to only buy books if I have a bookstore gift card for my birthday or Christmas.

I did a huge unhaul in October. I at least donated 20 shopping bags of various sizes of books. And then other day 3 stacks of DVDs and a couple Blu rays. Room for more most definitely ❤

I've gotten to a place where I only have physical copies of my all time favorites. Everything else comes from the library. It's so nice.

Such a great big book unhaul! I also agree it's totally refreshing to get rid of older/not interested/read titles to start off the new year! (it also gives my bookshelves more room to buy more books as well haha)

Very much recommend keeping Half Sick of Shadows. Try the first 50 pages. I read it last year and I was SHOCKED. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before.

I just had a shelf over haul too!! Got rid of a lot of books that I’ve lied to myself for years that I might read one day. Now that they’re gone I can barely remember what I got rid of 😅😅
