I”m laughing here in Russian looking at those temperature numbers yeah I know it’s F not C and coastline cold is more severe but still…

Yeah well, it's -27 F with windchill here tonight and I'm just coming back from a 1-hour walk. It's all in the CLOTHES you wear.
And NO, we don't wear those thin PUFF jackets, even the Canada Goose ones (it's mainly a Tourist brand now...). At -8F, our kids are WALKING to school and spending their recess running around outside, getting stronger.
I'm not trying to brag, I'm just saying it's REALLY all about the right clothing. We use layers to play, and warm heavy coats for a slow stroll. Parkas with furry hoodies are really only for snowstorms. Coton/or something similar, wool/or another good insulation, and finally a water/windproof exterior shell is the layering part. I own heated gloves and insoles for my boots. It's all USB rechargeable, so I carry a portable charger. I can go for HOURS. And be in my little bubble of warmth. Your extremities and chest are the most important. And NEVER wear JEANS when it's cold. DON'T use warm water to thaw out when you get in. Start with cool.. It'll still feel like it's burning.
Take care. Stay warm and FROSTBITES HURT even less severe ones.. My nose knows.. LOL..
PS: You people should REALLY start investing in winter infrastructure and mindset. I have a feeling that the weather shifts are just getting WORST, not passing by or temporary.
If you need help with that, you know where to knock. Just look North. And we DON'T usually play OUR COUNTRY FIRST when dealing with friends. Just saying.
