As a “designer, sociologist, experimental educator and social change maker” Leyla has had over 1.1 million views on TED.com for her talk Paper beats plastic?

Leyla joined us in London to talk about "Disrupting the Status Quo, by Design".

The human brain is a complex organ that evolved to respond to the world around it and make effective decisions about how to survive. So, how do our design decisions affect us cognitively? It's no doubt that design and technology have radically changed humanity. But is the rate of growth superseding our ability to cognitively understand the implications? In this session, Leyla, known for her brain-provoking talks, will explore the ways in which design creates us, the ethics of technology, and what we all can do about it.
