'Cops' reality show ends after 33 years amid protests

Paramount pulled the show in late May as the protests gained momentum.

I think it presents a great historical record of police interacting with the population. It is not a flattering perspective, however--contrary to what the show's producers imagine. We know who the "bad boys" are.

Some people don't want to see the reality of policing. People judge without looking at the reality of what someone does for a living. If you haven't done that job, how do you really know what it's like. When a officer tells a suspect that he or she is going to be arrested, as we have seen in enough videos, attitudes change. How many people try to run from being arrested at any cost. People think it's easy to arrest someone that doesn't want to be arrested. If you have not tried it, do so and let us know how it went.
