Red Design Consultants created the packaging, bottle design and brand video for the bicentennial special edition of Ouzo of Plomari,
a tribute to the 200 years of Greek Independence and the designs of Greek traditional costumes.
This special edition numbers 1821 bottles with the handwritten numbering certifying the distinctive character of the bottles.
The colour palette in white, red and blue is inspired by recent Greek history.
The white bottle dominates symbolising purity.
The pattern in blue and red, refers to the traditional Greek costumes.
The combination with the red tassel on the neck of the bottle creates
an elegant result that balances between the past and contemporary Greece.
The elements framing the design, such as the anniversary seal and the flags,
give a festive tonality to a special edition that the Plomari Distillery supports as a worthy ambassador
of a unique tradition that continues with the same recipe and distillation method since 1894.
Set against a vibrant red backdrop, the brand video focuses on the distinctiveness
of the bottle, its details and the purpose of the edition in a simple, contemporary and eloquent way.
The musical score, inspired by traditional Greek folk music, was written especially for the brand video.
