Somehow I said the Seychelles are in the South Pacific instead of the Indian Ocean. 🤦🏼‍♂️
Sorry for the error.

I did a presentation on “endangered species” in 2013, and the animal I chose was the “extinct” night parrot. Technically this was not allowed, it needed to be an endangered species, not an extinct one, but I still did it because I believed night parrots were still out there. I was like 10 at the time. Years later hearing about the discovery of living populations made me feel strangely vindicated.

Good on David Wingate! Imagine finding 15 specimens of an animal as a teen. Then 70 years later, thanks to YOU, that species is up to ~5000 in size. What an accomplishment!

I love watching as I learn so much. These videos should be required in schools so kids grow up with the knowledge and appreciation of species that could very well be saved. Thank you for your wonderful content.

Humans have the capability to mitigate the ecocide brought about by our own ignorance in the past and even the present still. Stories like these give me hope and motivation to be a part of the solution

Recently stumbled upon your channel and seen it grow 3x since then, would love to see videos about present day critically endangered species, efforts to save them, ways for us viewers to help them via donations or volunteering. Love your calming presentation style :)
