Nico said he would've gotten money anywhere. He chose Tennessee because he and his family felt like it was the best fit. You like what you like.

Once again, for the cheap seats - people don't have an issue with paying players; they have an issue with TENNESSEE paying players, especially when they knock it out of the park.

People must not have watched Tennessee’s offense last year. Hendon’s draft stock has leaped due to Heupel’s system. Big numbers equals big contracts!

Nico, today, is a better QB than Arch. Arch is outstanding but Nico can put the ball in windows nobody else in high school could.

Now TN needs to go after those Bama wide receivers in the portal

You keep saying, that people didn't believe Huepel was capable of recruiting big time QB'S or players. Why would you believe that, knowing Heupel will attract players there with his style of play, as well as the Tennessee football tradition.

this kid is going to get paid 6 million dollars by the time he’ll declare for the NFL draft at only 21 years old owning a luxury home in a prestigious Southern California community solely off playing the game you love is crazy. These athletes are finally being appreciated I love to see it so cal vs everybody ✌️🔥

College football - as you have addressed in another video - is headed toward a bifurcated structure in which some programs will embrace the “player as employee only” model and other programs will stick to the older student-athlete model. Not all change is progress.

The law of unintended consequences is what I see playing out with the NIL. You will have great QBs making big money and then a few key players making big money. After that, the rank and file of the team will be getting relatively small, if any NIL deals. It will likely create a locker room that is fragmented. It's like pros playing ball with college kids. It is really going too make it more difficult for coaches to hold teams together. The dynamic of the team changes. The coaches will still call the shots but the NIL gives much more power to the top 3 or 4 players on the team. If they form a coalition, they can put a lot of pressure on a coach via the transfer portal. So, in short, it's all well and good when you land the five start QB through a big NIL deal but, other programs will try really hard to come after your top notch recruits and, human nature being what it is, they will, in many cases, be lured by the almighty dollar and transfer to another program who can come in with a higher bid. This IS college football or the future.

Remember this the same people who are praising him will be the same NIL people blanking him and you fill in the blank

The new landscape benefits teams like Tennessee. Used to be dominate programs with a massive fanbase and very rich boosters. NIL is like gas for them. They’ve had a car for years. Just didn’t have any fuel in it. Tennessee, USC, and Florida State are all in that bucket. Football blue bloods that currently suck. NIL could be what resurrects some of these old powerhouse programs of the past. It’s intriguing.

Secure the bag at all cost, and if this pro football thing doesn't work out at least you have some cash to fall back on.

I’m confused, everybody keeps talking about the $8 million, but where is it coming from? The university can’t directly pay him, so is there some local business or company that is paying the $8 million? Where is the money coming from

8.35 million who cares if he isn't good enough for NFL after college he can retire. His degree if it be ballet dancing or whatever will be meaningless to him. That's my only problem with NIL college should be for a degree then for financial gains later be it football or whatever profession.

I remember when Hendon Hooker was supposed to be the next big thing… we all see how that turned out.

This whole NIL thing should prove interesting and irrelevant over the next decade.
Well, at lest the kids will become rich.

I'm all for kids getting paid. I've advocated it for years. But this current system is ruining college football. The sport that were grown to love is no more.
