I cannot describe (nor could I really understand it at the time) how much seeing all four Ghostbusters together again meant to me. I didn’t expect the reunion to hit me so hard but I was just a mess of tears during that finale. It was a reunion that I waited thirty-two years for and never expected to see after Harold Ramis died.

The first time I watched this, I literally started crying. Egon was my favorite character in the Ghostbusters series.

When I saw this in the cinema, I welled up when i saw the three surviving Ghostbusters, but when Egon appeared to help his granddaughter and when he said beside the other three, I was unashamedly sobbing.

It was perfect.

They definitely made the ghost of old Egon look more like Harold did in the first two movies and aged that familiar face up, rather than make him just look like Harold did in real life towards the end of his life, which is a great choice, keeps it familiar and looks great set against the old gang too

I nearly put holes in the wall when I heard that Egon was going to appear in the film, but this is the first time I have ever been impressed by how tastfully something like this was handled. Massive, massive props to everyone involved.

The film (in my opinion) was a masterpiece, and the magnum opus of Ghostbusters Afterlife was the extremely respectful, extremely tasteful, absolutely beautiful tribute to Harold Ramis and Egon Spengler.

I love how the only hug he receives is the one that is given to him and then he is at total peace before he leaves his friends and family. That is also complete with the kiss that he gets from Peters ex girlfriend in Ghostbusters 2. You notice how shy and overly happy he was to get both. He was only talkative and expressive when he talks about science. Personal stuff was never easy for him

Afterlife was beyond words. Loved it. Had a smile on my face the whole time, but teared up big time with the Egon scenes especially the end. Buy I give massive respect to the people that brought him to life. Handled with upmost care, taste and respect.

Ghostbusters Afterlife was an amazing sequel 🙂. I was so touched and cried while watching it because they did such a touching tribute to Harold Ramis / Egon Spengler and i loved the scene when Egon showed up for his family and his team to assist one last time and i couldn’t stop crying🥲🥲.
