Got the a second hand Gen2 for my mother last year when her Oppo phone needed changing. For a few hundred, near 90% batter battery life was a good thing. Having the home button was important and partly why i wanted this phone.

the size being the same as the normal iphone now - just crazy how small phones are dead. hopefully the battery on this will be decent - that was the real downfall of previous se. understand it is for basic using but was really poor.

It's looking like this will be my next phone. Coming from an XR, it's a big upgrade for me. If it's around $500 US, that's a pretty good deal to get a future-proof phone that will hopefully last me another 6 or 7 years like my XR has.

USB-C is required by the EU. It delivers more power, faster data transfer ... and it's shared by all manufacturers.
The SE is usually the repacked internals of a model two generations back, but in a shell three generations back. So I would expect it to be an iPhone 14 that looks like an iPhone 12 or 13 (since the design hasn't changed that much over the last five generations).

At this price, the iPhone 15 is better than the SE 4.

I suspect it'll be a 6 inch screen, single rear camera, with notch and A18 chip. RRP around 599. Question is, what do they do to the 13 and 14 if they want the whole line up with Apple AI and those devices still have lightning. So do they drop the 13 and 14 and keep the SE, 15, 16 series?

I heard the SE 4 was gonna be around the 420-520 price range. Cause how is it a "budget" phone if it's 800 DOLLARS????! You can get a base Samsung S25 with that money!!

Why would anyone upgrade to this iPhone SE when the SE vIII is just as good? The memory might not even be an upgrade, who knows, but I'll stick with my home button SE thanks
