Officials: Human error caused deadly crane collapse in Seattle

Officials said three of five companies hired to dismantle a crane in Seattle are partially to blame for the collapse. Seattle police are investigating the collapse.

Why do they think in any stretch of the imagination that they should be removing pins at the bottom first? That is just lunacy. if your going to dismantle the top cage you would never want a loosen the base. Gross negligence. These poor people who died. This is all a no brainer thought process.
