Does the mic work with this dual audio connection setup? Sometime back, I had to take a WhatsApp group call with another person in the same room, which led to a lot of 'echo sounds' in the call. If dual audio works with mics too, we both could have taken the call from a single phone and maybe the echo issue is resolved by the whatsapp software.

One question what will happen if you have an in coming all or tweets or beeps. So I am guessing that it will probably be best to use and phone with internet only (I would probably use and old phone that is not being used.) Let me know if what I'm writing is correct.

Can I easily switch between devices? I have earbuds and a car.
I would love for a quick switch between them. I don't mind if both worked simultaneously, but I don't want the car to take over audio from the earbuds which is what always happens.
