To refresh the memory of you and others who view this, this game took place just a few days before the players went on strike, which forced the cancellation of that year's World Series.

Also, this same pitcher's name reminds me of one of the great Country music legends, who was known for such hits as "Coward of the County, "The Gambler" and "Lucille."

The Gambler may have pitched a perfect game but Mark made the perfect call in this 9th inning. It’s absolutely fabulous, especially Rusty’s catch. And he did it over and over again with some of Nolan’s great moments as an example.
