Pump the brakes on Steele. Sure he looked good against third stringers in the pre-season, but so far 9/27 with a lost fumble. Perine is a better option to replace what Pacheco brought in the passing game, and at 240 should be able to handle short yardage work. Neither is ideal, and maybe the real answer is a trade for someone like Herbert, but betting on Steele feels like a wasted shot.
