IT BOGGLES MY MIND that emergency service vehicles (and all vehicles/ trucks) don’t have PIN (code) to drive like Tesla. You simply cannot steal the car without very specific hardware. This would prevent so many fatalities, car chases, and innocent victims, innocent car damage, innocent shop fronts being destroyed. Mandate it already. You put a pin on you $500 phone but not 50-100k worth of cars that have the potential to be totally misused at the tax payer expense. We ALL pay the price for hijacked cars. One simple thing such as a PIN to drive would prevent a HUGE majority to opportune theft.
