If you absolutely want the best of Carvana,
1. Buy when it says Free Shipping. Less logistics problems and you can always fly in to drive your car home in a day.
2. Look carefully at the Carfax report and most of them you will find this report usually at the end.
Title issued or updated
Dealer took title of this vehicle while it was in inventory.

If your purchase is not the above, prepare to wait and wait and wait. Good Luck.

I bought Mazda cx 5. There was couple problems but there were actually looking forward to fix small problems I had. The steering wheel was little worn out, and there were two general maintaining. They actually reimbursed me for these problems I have faced with. You just need to communicate in a respectful way and it works.

I had a great experience with a trade in last year, traded a Honda Accord 14 and got a good trade in, purchased an Acura TLX 2019 and the car had no issues. The only delays they had was sending plates but arrived within a month. Used Capital One for finance and experience was hassle free, no surprise markups and you paid what you see.

My family bought 3 from Carvana. 2017 dodge caravan gt 54, 000. Transmission went out at 60, 100 miles. Chrysler wouldn't warranty it, $2300. Now it has 73, 000 miles(about to trade it in for my Maverick.
2016 Kia Sorrento 42, 000 miles. No problems, now has 58, 000. 2014 Honda accord coupe 48, 000 miles, no problems at 60, 000. Caravan was a rental, others I don't think so. I think it just depends on your luck.

The statue in Florida actually gives the dealers 30 days to apply for the title. It must be received by the state within that time but doesn’t address how long it takes to get to the buyer. But I have always received my titles within 6 weeks of purchase. But I’ve never bought from Carvana. It’s a great place to sell though.

Love your channel, and have been watching a lot. But I have to say I bristled at the comment at 5:00. I understand what you mean, of course, but isn't today's world the way it is specifically because so many executives keep silent in the face of blatant corporate malfeasance? If you're not going to hire somebody, because they blew the whistle on something super egregious, what does that say about how you're running your business or what you think you plan on doing?

Every dealer I have ever worked for or seen does NOT inspect their cars. Car wholesale buyers don’t know what they are looking at other than the numbers. Dealers leave it up to the buyers to inspect or have inspected the purchase. That’s why it is always an As IS purchase agreement protecting the dealership.

I’ve been waiting on my registration. Apparently the application for registration document I signed was wrong so they need to send new ones. It’s been two weeks still nothing and it’s day 68 with no application for registration being processed by the state. It’s a violation of Texas law. I called them and they keep telling me it’s coming and never does. So I’ve contacted Texas DMV along with the attorney general for the state. After it hits 90 days I’m going to reach out to the local news station. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM CARVANA

I think it depends on the model you buy or are looking for when using something like caravan. I would not by a very old car or one with a lot of miles on it from them. I think they priced rangers good and I was looking at those recently. What you guys describing is on the business/administrative side. I assumed this was them selling bad cars that were duds.

Carvana is bolstered by people who had positive experiences selling their car there. They presume the other side must be as easy. And certainly not everyone is having a bad Carvana sales experience. But the horror stories are growing as Carvana suffers the same problem as a lot of businesses... when you scale up exponentially any weaknesses in the processes get exponentially worse.

And Carvana is dealing with some things that are out of their control but still their responsibility. For instance, if a lienholder is bought out by another company (as happened to me once), sometimes paperwork gets misplaced internally. But all anyone can do is send money to the lienholder and hope they get the title back.

What could be Carvana's fault is if they're taking in stolen cars, or vehicles that they get incorrect lienholder information. Then they have to try to find the seller, and that person is in the wind.

The fix to this would be to legally obligate the seller to present the title on purchase, or for the seller to be responsible for the due diligence to assure that the lien is legit and accounted for. And people would be ok with that until remembering that whether they do a street sale or trade in their car, private individuals are also sellers of cars and they don't want the burden of walking around with their title, or having to give their payoff information to everyone who asks.

In that case just make it a merchant requirement. Cool. Tell merchants that they absolutely cannot display a car, much less sell one, until they can show the title to anyone who asks. Merchants will answer this by outright including potential depreciation into a vehicle until they can secure a title from a lienholder. They would also absolutely reject deal paperwork without a title in hand. If mere possession of a vehicle requires certificate of title, dealerships will protect themselves by putting more burden on shoppers to have their stuff together before even talking to customers. And customers won't like that.

Sold my '16 Chevy Spark to carvana. Excellent experience and got about $1200 over kbb private party value. Didn't have to deal with tire kickers, no-shows, fake bills, ect. I meticulously maintained my car and it was very reliable. Whoever ends up with it got a great car. I just was ready for a new awd suv so my trusty spark had to go. Definitely would sell to carvana again.

I just bought 2 CARS from Carvana in January 2022: A Porsche Cayman GTR and a RANGE ROVER. After my 7 day trial period, my registration was processed THE VERY NEXT DAY and I had my physical plates in my mailbox within 10 days for BOTH VEHICLES! They were constantly in communication me to ensure I was extremely happy with my vehicles. The experience was FAR BEYOND my expectations. Highly recommended!

Sold my 2011 Cadillac CTS to Carvana. They over paid and the only inspection performed was recording the odometer and taking pictures. 1, 2, 3 it was SOLD!

Carvana dropped a truck ramp on the roof of my car and I've had to be on the phone for like 3 hours a day for 5 days just to get them to cover the damages -_-.

Every interaction I've had with them has been a ROYAL pain in the ass

My ex bought a car on Carvana that had undisclosed flood damage. She was unable to return the car to them and had to sell it because it was such a headache in terms of reliability. She told me that if she had to do it all over again she wouldn't buy from Carvana again if the car was coming from a region known for flooding issues.
