Marketing budgets are shrinking and with social media, you need to do more than publish a weekly specials flyer to get customer loyalty. Recording simple Youtube videos can be a powerful way to promote your business while building relationships with the community.

Here are 3 reasons why you want to create and post videos online.
1) If you don't, you'll fall behind your competition. Cisco Systems predicts in fewer than 3 years, 90% of the data online will be video.

2) Videos are excellent for Search Engine Optimization. You are up to 50 times more likely to get a first page google ranking with video because people spend more time on your website. YouTube is also owned by Google so they like to promote one another.

3) Video builds connection with your customers, and local community so don't just push your product. Instead, share your expertise by giving away great advice that will help your customers. Get your seafood specialist to show us how to buy the freshest fish. Or get your nutritionist to show us how to decipher ingredient labels.

Whenever doing any ad video for advertising recording services of mine, I always like to do it in whichever ways I can that helps get my voice get in louder enough and more direct sounding, also where background noise don't get in quite that loud. I like to do that by either using a shotgun condenser microphone and getting it as close to me as possible without being seen in the video, or sometime getting a portable wireless clip on mic system that clips on the shirt colar, with a pocket sized portable receiver somehow going into my video. I feel if anyone's going to use just an Ipad or tablet, it would really be good if they have an Ipad or tablet that's made with a line in or has some other way to have external audio going in from a wireless mic system like I mentioned above, or external shotgun condenser mic. Then after doing a video with the audio recorded any of those ways, I'm one who really believes in doing some sound processing on it in some recording program like Reason or Realband with sound processing plugins, to get the audio at the most optimum volume, loudness, and equalization. If anyone doing a video also wants to do that but money is tight, they can even just use a free program called Audacity or a free version of Reaper. Otherwise I agree with what Jaeny says about doing videos for advertising  a persons business.
