so apparently i heard the questions they give you on khan are wayyy harder than the questions they give you in the actual SAT is that true ?

there is a much easier way to solve the 2nd problem.
you can find out how much is 4% to dollars by using the proportion.
thus, $175 is 100% (all amount of money what he got). let X be unknown with respect to 4%. therefore we got the proportion:
$175 - 100%
X - 4%
now we do cross-multiply to figure out how much is 4%
($174*4%)/100% = 6.96. so, he earns 6.96 per one year. considering this we have the next inequality:
200 equal or less than 175+6.96T (where T is the number of years). it is gonna be $202.84 per 4 years.

For the third question I just multiplied 175 by 1.04 until I got at least 200.
