Hello and welcome back to my channel! I am a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant who completed a Physician Assistant residency in Critical Care Medicine. Thus, in this video I discuss my 10th month in a PA residency. The residency is a total of 12 months and I have seen myself grow as an advanced practice provider throughout the whole year. From improving my clinical skills with procedures such as intubations, central lines, bronchoscopies and etc. So I decided to record monthly updates on how I have progressed as a Physician assistant every month and what my rotations have been in. Hopefully this video is helpful for those of you who are PA’s or NP’s who are wanting to pursue a post graduate residency. I HIGHLY recommend it and would do it again in a heartbeat!

I will be making video updates after each one of my critical care medicine rotations in my critical care medicine residency, so you can follow my growth as a Physician assistant and also to see what rotations I rotated through. Here is the link below to the playlist that is all about Physician assistant residencies. The playlist includes topics discussing why I decided to apply to a PA residency/fellowship, what are the pro's and con's, how is the application process and how is the interview process. Feel free to comment below if you have any questions about a physician assistant residency. Thank you for watching my videos and supporting me! Please take care!

Hey!! I have been following your journey for a couple years now and it’s amazing to see how much you’ve grown. You’ve been an inspiration to me and you have also helped me a lot throughout pa school so I am very thankful for your videos!! I am actually pursuing a critical care fellowship as well I wanted to know if you had any advice for those who are beginning a residency. Do you recommend any resources to use to study prior to starting? Or just tips on how to be successful in the residency? Thank you so much!!

Hi Estefany! Thanks for the video! I've been following you for a couple years now. I just started Didactic year and I'm so excited to endure this journey towards becoming a PA. Critical Care and Internal Hospitalist medicine are strong interests and doing a residency is definitely on the radar. I have a question.. How long (after graduation) did it take you to get accepted to a residency? Did you apply to residencies before graduating/passing the PANCE? Did you find that residencies allow you to apply prior to graduating? I'm guessing this might depend on the program. Again, thank you!
