We have it - it’s great - great turbo engine and the CVT does a good job and the AWD system got us out of muddy situations this winter. Stereo great too - my teens love blasting their music through it.

Great all around suv wagon. Not a jeep killer as there is places it just wont go. Safety is our concern and it is rated really good.

Dude this is the Outback wilderness I now own. Me and my wife bought it from Nate wade and I swear it’s this car.

I owned a ‘22. Loved the way it drove. The electronics sucked. Had to change the radio head 3 times in one year. I ended up selling it for more than I bought it for though.

My 80yo mom bought one! lol I have driven it on a few trips and I am impressed. The only complaint I have is the infotainment system. I do not like the screen. It's clumsy, slow, and not easy to use when driving. I am sure I would get used to it if I drove it daily . The CVT is better than I expected. The car is very responsive and has plenty of get up and go. I will be getting a car in the next 6 months and I am leaning towards this one or a Frontier Pro4x. Good review!

I own one in Mississauga Canada. Mine is a 2022 with only 11000 Km. I Love this vehicle!

I have the 22 OBW, loved this thing. If I had to nitpick it would be the infotainment. It is pretty slow and sluggish at time. Also I don't know what Subaru was thinking but they did not release the software update for the button layout for all the new Subaru. Its a software so I am not sure why they couldn't do that since the current layout has smaller button and hard to press if you are driving. Otherwise this car is fast, comfortable in long ride and family friendly. Oh gas isn't the best but can be better, but the turbo makes up for the gas I guess.

My next vehicle, next year when the new one comes out with updates. Thanks Ben.

Even though some people might call Ben Hardy color-blind. The accent pieces are still in the gold spectrum, just not in their purest form, where it's a bright yellow.

Just an unsolicited technical suggestion: buy yourself a good CPL(Circular Polarizing filter) as it should help remove the glares on your videos. Hope it will help ya!

We love our '20 Outback Touring. Great on road trips, hugs mountain roads, fantastic in rain and snow, and really smooth and quiet on highway. Jeep Killers they are not; the cvt torque limiter and unibody construction make sure of that. We also have a '16 T4R and would never take Outback where we take the 4Runner.

If it came with a manual, I'd buy it today

I wish they would do away with that CVT, just sold our Ascent and the CVT was the worst part of that car. I want an Outback Wilderness in the worst way, but I don’t think I can live with that transmission again

I've watched all of Subaru's cars that would be Crosstrek base, premium, and sport but this Outback Wilderness is awesome and looks great huge amount of I think 260 HP and 277 good pound-feet torque I like this car a lot den hardy you can make a long review

Simply no comparison - you can buy a jeep with all the 1990s ride quality and tech with the worse quality in the world or you can buy a Suburu that will actually last, is modern, and doesn’t feel like you’re driving around in a cardboard box with wheels.

All these complaints about the CVT - I'm on my third Outback since 2015, and at first I wasn't too crazy about it, but after learning its nuances and learning how to use it, I actually like it more than most other transmissions. I've only ever had the base engine and it's just fine for everyday driving unless you feel the need to race people at red lights.

I believe the Wilderness has a raised road clearance from the other models. I installed an auto stop/start killer which makes things nicer. My main complaint about the Outback in general is that the climate controls SUCK. Physical controls please. Also, join the rest of the world and install a bird's eye view backup camera system. I had one on a Hyundai rental and it is awesome.

I saw one video where someone said that there is a HUD on the Wilderness...but I have yet to SEE a HUD on the Wilderness in action. lol

I know we are supposed to take what is free without criticizing, but just a suggestion - if you talk a bit less, your viewers can get more out of the review. For example, I really wanted to hear how the road noise sounds when going over the rail tracks at 6:21
But I really appreciate the reviews. Thank you.

Almost bought a Wilderness....until I found out it just has the base model sound system. Can't believe Subaru is charging these prices without including the much better Harman Kardon system.
