Mercedes EQS v e-tron GT v Taycan 4 v Model S: DRAG RACE

It’s time for an AWESOME 4-car EV drag race!

Mat’s in the Audi e-tron GT and it’s facing off against the new Mercedes EQS, the Porsche Taycan 4S, and the Tesla Model S!

So, let’s see how they compare. Starting with Mat’s e-tron GT, it’s powered by two electric motors which deliver 523hp and 640Nm of torque. It's pretty heavy though, weighing in at 2,276kg. Next up is the Mercedes EQS. Sadly, we could only get the entry-level single motor version, so it’s just RWD and delivers 329hp and 568Nm. It’s got a HUGE battery though, so it weighs 2,480kg.

We then have the Taycan 4S, which is pretty much identical to the e-tron GT. As a result, it puts down 571hp & 650Nm, although it’s slightly lighter, weighing 2,220kg. Then finally we have the Model S. It’s also got two electric motors, and they combine to produce 605hp and 687Nm. It’s heavier than both the Audi and Porsche, however, weighing 2,290kg.

Got very excited to see how the EQS would perform but it very unfair to use the single motor version as it's so much down on power compared to the others. Not a fair contest.

This is a very fair race when the eqs has the smallest Motor. Please make a test again with the eqs 580 4 matic and the eqs 780 when it is released

Respect to the EQS driver for having charisma, even in the jaws of defeat👏
If this race was anything to go by, the other EV car drivers didn't seem to get into the Carwow spirit of things... Matt had no one to bounce his banter off (Yanni or normal crew drivers)
