For anyone confused: only half the canned fish options come in water, the rest come in oil

If you had eaten the Tuna as a food source first then used the oil to boil/sanitize the water, this would be practical.

I appreciate all the survival skills/tips/tricks that the algorithm is sending me tonight. I hope it understands that i'll have forgotten them all by morning.

I've used these techniques to survive when I got lost behind a bush in my backyard. After some hot tuna and a cup of tea, I had the strength for the walk back into my house.

That melted can liner really adds a nice zest to the scorched tuna

Moral: Always carry canned tuna in oil, toilet paper, and a good, heavy knife...

And a lighter, bottled water, tea herbs, and a stainless steel camp mug. 😁

Great for when you just have to have that cup of tea in the wilderness. 😂👌

Yes yes, grabing the hot mug while the fire is still on was a great tip!

This is gonna save my life one day stranded in the woods next to a tuna can tree.

In Finland we call this sissituna(=guerrilla tuna). I've done this like 100 times and it's great, much better to eat WARM food rather than cold, stop yapping about burning the oil away because it doesnt :D
Also I can assure you that there will be no paper in the food since the paper chars into a "slab" that you can easily whip away into the fire.
It's really meant to be super convenient and fast warm food to be preparing while you can do something that really matters such as setting up tent or getting firewood. You'll know its ready when it's no longer on fire.
