Also seeing a video made in places I live around, see often, and are familiar with feels incredibly nice

this song is way too perfect to be real. it’s been able to get me in a state of such comfort from the synth intro that just melts away all my anxiety to the instrumental buildup at the very end to the seemingly simple topic matter that also made me think about my own fears and how i’ve been handling them. this song has helped me so much with it just existing. i’m so fucking happy that this music video fits that same feeling so well. thank you so much to everyone involved with this song, this album and this video

The cinematography is stunning. Whoever did this deserves a pat on the back.

The old school black and white film hat wave send off at 3:11 is just so pure 🥺 Like Dijon once tweeted, we need to make more songs about our homies

I don't know where this was filmed, but that mossy underpass looked majestic

The simplicity of this song is what makes it beautiful, the concerns of the fear of using a rope swing in the lyrics bring back feelings of being a kid and mustering the courage to finally do something ive always wanted to do and succeeding. shits beautiful dawg

I saw this video when I was on ketamine and now every time I watch it I get hit by this incredible tidal wave of nostalgia and peace, sadness with the smell of barbeque in the air, a float trip with your best friends down the river of Solace, a day at the amusement park with no lines, a cloudy day when you needed a break, the imperfect beauty of a high school band ... Idk man, this hits hard, but it feels good. Admit you're scared, everything's gonna be all right

[Verse 1: Zack Villere]
I thought that I could delay this
Cause I'm a little nervous
I feel like a ghost with my shirt pulled over my head
And my arms wrapped round the branch
20 feet until I land

[Chorus: Zack Villere]
And I'm scared
I only ever ride the rope swing
I was simply making it right
And I'm scared
I only ever ride the rope swing, yeah

[Verse 2: Zack Villere + Dijon]
[Dijon]
What if it's too shallow and I hit the bottom
What if I don't have the upper body strength to hold the rope
[Zack]
Maybe it's too cold and I should think about it
If I lose my breath when I go in, I doubt it
[Dijon]
Will I get punked if I don't jump or
Will I be pushed when I'm not looking
Okay, go, you count to four
Yell, Geronimo, yell, Geronimo
[Bridge: Zack Villere + Dijon]
[Dijon]
Well I'm pulling on the tree branch
When I run I take three steps back
Then I land in a splash and you splash after me
Run up on the grass then you throw the rope back at me
Pulling on the tree branch
When I, huh
[Zack]
I take three steps back
Then I land in a splash and you splash after me
Run up on the grass then you throw the rope back at me

[Chorus: Zack Villere + Dijon]
[Zack]
I'm scared
I only ever ride the rope swing
[Dijon]
I'm scared
I only ever ride the rope swing
[Zack]
And I'm scared
I only ever ride the rope swing
Cause I'm scared

[Outro]
But I don't think it's such a bad thing
So swing me back down now

the campfire turning on in time with the music and going out on cue, the wide angles, zack peeing himself on a tree; legendary
