Geologists have found a fault that can create world’s sixth ocean | Pratiyogita Darpan

Recently, the geologists are witnessing a rare geological phenomenon in the Afar Triangle, a region in Africa where three tectonic plates—the Nubian, Somali, and Arabian plates— converge, potentially leading to the formation of a new ocean. This area is part of the East African Rift System. The rifting process occurring here is a result of the tectonic plates slowly moving apart.
