I think the way Slot plays which requires intense front 3 pressing, he will use all 6 attackers every game. So far in last 3 games, all the 5 attackers played.

I’m a Liverpool fan from Norwich (blame my sister). Norwich are in a bit of a weird situation - can’t tell if they have a good or very poor squad. Hoping Gordon can have a very good loan spell YNWA

Is there a recent deep dive analysis of Nunez on TAW? If not, would be good to see Neil and Josh W get stuck into his data so we can be more objective in assessing his progress this season.

I expect different aproach toward champions league....we will focus on league now and not make many changes in the team and more rotation for cup games....why?! bc we need only three wins in eight games to go through...so risk has to be shifted there....focus on top eight in ucl has to be limited...when you look at fixture list real madrid home game is wednesday and saturday we play man.city home game...so we will play plenty of squad players against madrid and preserve players for man.city game... I would be surprised if do it otherwise...

I was obviously chuffed to bits with the result and the performance at OT on Sunday. I was a bit surprised by the stats afterwards as they suggested a much closer game than the one I thought I had witnessed, and also the one that all the pundits talked about - which was pretty much a Liverpool slaughter of Utd and a score that could/should have been 5 or 6 Liverpool goals. That set me thinking - so why wasn't it 5 or 6 ?
I think we were definitely more on top in this game than the 7-0 where we just seemed to score with every chance we had. I'm afraid I came down to the conclusion that is it was the same issue as last season - we kept throwing away chances to score. Luckily some of our finishing was top notch (all 3 goals were first time finishes and all were brilliant moves). But the reason it was 3 and not 6 was we blew many other chances. Last season we hit a streak in the last 2-3 months of the season where we could not finish a sentence. so, back to Sunday -
TAA's goal was disallowed because Mo fucked up by touching the ball instead of just letting it roll onto Trent (personally I still felt the goal should have stood as Diaz's ball was not forwards, and Salah would only have been offside if it was a forward pass).
Szobo missed an open goal by over-elaborating, instead of just poking it into the net. He also missed a great chance with a header in 1st half from a great ball by Robbo, but he completely butchered his header.
Diaz, Gakpo and Darwin were all fouled in places where it could/should have been a pen, but we didn't get any of the decisions (pretty typical at OT).
Jota, TAA and Nunez all had shots within the box : TAA's was blocked and the others went wide.
After the 3rd goal, we were all over them and it seemed like we had chance after chance every couple of mins for about 10-15 min spell and we missed the lot.
When we play City or even more so Arsenal, we will not get so many chances, so we have to be better at finishing.

6 top attackers…. Each the best player for their country except Jota who may be second best for Portugal. Lololol….

Norwich more northerly than Birmingham, good geography spot.

Nunez the odd one out for me he lacks the footballing intelligence to fit into this future team id say slot will move him on

Nunez the other day against Brentford came on and the first thing he did was obliviously stand 5 yards offside and then he couldnt put the header on target. Him being our 2nd choice worries me with the amount of high quality games we have this season. He won't get the chance to stat pad against Toulouse and LASK this season.

Nunez isn't good enough let's be real about it. If he can't do the fundamentals like stay onside or finish at his age he never will be able to and he cost too much to play the kops cult hero. Nothing against the lad, he always gives 100% an runs his socks off but if we wanna win the big trophies then he's not the man and i suspect slot has figured that out already.
