Anne Heche seriously injured after fiery car crash into home | LiveNOW from FOX

The driver who crashed into a Mar Vista home, sparking a fire, has been identified as actress Anne Heche.

The car, a 2020 Mini Copper, went through the house, causing a massive fire. Firefighters knocked down the flames within an hour and eventually pulled the car out of the home.

LAFD says the driver was rescued and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Images from SkyFOX appear to show Heche trying to get out of the gurney she was placed in.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the vehicle came to rest within a 738- square-foot two-story home, built in 1952, causing structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

As a first responder I have to say, the weirdest thing about this video is that she is completely covered on the stretcher, from head to toe, which is what medics do only when a person is evidently dead. And no breathing/no heart beat don't qualify as dead at scene. Otherwise, the face is always exposed for medics to give CPR or pump air in the lungs. But she sat up and clearly tried to undo her straps, so clear alive. What led the rescuers to not even try first aid at the scene? so strange.

Wow no oxygen on her, no neck brace. I've never seen anything like that. Just fire trucks, no police vehicles and just one ambulance. The strangest accident I've ever seen

as a first responder, the only reason we would cover someone up with a sheet is if the weather conditions permit or if they’re dead / and if they’re dead- we DONT transport the body. A coroner comes to pick it up. The weather seemed completely beautiful there and she seemed frantic getting up out of that gurney. Strange.

The other odd thing about this was how reports said that it took time to identify her as her face was burned beyond recognition. In this video, none of her upper body looks burned. Something isn't right.

Anyone find it extremely bizarre that they had her body completely covered up? I have multiple family members that were medics, and usually one of the first things you do is get oxygen on someone. You wouldn't declare someone dead unless a long period of time had passed. Highly strange and actually very suspicious.

Something isn't right about this and we all know it. She shouldn't be completely covered you can see her erupt out the sheet and try to unbuckle herself from the stretcher.

If she was presumed dead, why weren’t they surprised when she sat up? If she was presumed alive and severely injured why were they moving so casually with her face completely covered?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this but she looks like she's in a body bag her whole body face and all are covered and if she was still if they thought she was still alive but in critical condition at the time she was put on the stretcher they're not going to inhibit her breathing by completely covering her face with a blanket her face was completely covered with a blanket they only do that if the person's deceased and then she ripped it open I'm surprised nobody has noticed that

I think the most strange thing is why she had no oxygen mask on and fire fighters were taking here into an Ambo rather than Paramedics, you'd think as soon as she was free the paramedics would have been on her like a rash.

That was super weird....they had her covered like she had already passed then all of a sudden she just pops up out of the sheets...anyone else think that was odd!?? How was she that alert and then all of a sudden shes just dead?? This whole thing is strange.

Something very suspicious about this, she was sitting up trying to get off the stretcher she wasn't charred although they say she was in the car for ages and the car is wrecked, why were fire fighters putting her in the ambulance? and not paramedics?

Look how the firefighters aren’t phased or surprised in the least bit when she bursts out of there. In fact they seem to just want to get her out of sight and shoved into that ambulance.
Why was her head covered? They only do that if you’re dead.
And why weren’t they giving her oxygen?

Actually, where are the paramedics? Why is it firefighters all with their helmets on covering their faces?
