About Michelle In The Meadow

I'm growing on a 1/4 acre suburban lot. I started gardening here 5 years ago and am glad you are here.

We have more than 80 individual fruit trees and shrubs and more than a dozen different kinds of annuals growing on this property. The slopes make for some interesting ways to garden, but we're trying to make the best of it.

On the first Sunday evening of each month (7PM Eastern), I go live on YouTube sharing updates and answering your questions.

If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing to follow along on all the happenings in my Northeast Florida Zone 9A Garden. Until next time, my friends, remember to drink plenty of water, wear high-quality sunscreen and have a fantastic day.

For more exciting updates from our Meadow:

Thank you for watching.

Sweet Potatoes for Thanksgiving is a reason we garden in Florida!

I just checked my sweet potatoes that I grew and have stored in a box in a dark cooler room.... they all have sprouts and have 5" to 10" stems on ALL of them.😅 I guess I'll need to just go plant them, and maybe they'll produce some next spring???🙅‍♀️ BTW, my husband ran into someone who grew citrus in containers and apparently has great results. He told my husband that we should be watering them 2 times a day, and during our really hot summer days, 3x's a day... and they are heavy feeders, so we should be giving them citrus fertilizers at least 4 times a year.... I really want to just plant them in the ground, but most of our sunny locations in the back yard is where the drain field is...😢 Anywho, I enjoyed the tour, and yours look 1000 times better than mine.. Blessings to you and your family ❤👋👋

Screwing up in the garden is one of my favorite activities! These things just want to grow! I'm usually out of control in my garden.
Be careful with that bamboo. It is usually invasive here in Florida.
Beauty berry is also pretty invasive. I tried to make jelly one year but it wouldn't jell - made some good syrup though.
That garden studio will NEVER be ready for view if you use it. You might as well show us how it is.
Seems like everything becomes invasive when it gets to Florida.
