May I asked you something? Can we use foundation as concealer ?

And what is the purpose of foundation ? I have been blessed by God with good skin and whenever I go get my make up done I receive several compliments for my skin by the make up artist however when thy do my foundation it always looks cakey and I look better without foundation I tired mac foundations ( studio fix, prolong wear, sculpt samples ) and I have the mineralised foundation too . I also have an Estée Lauder invisible foundation recommended to me at the counter for such skin however I feel as if it don't make a differences . I can't use powder because it makes me look dry .

The only foundation that make me look stunning is maybelline dream satin liquid in sand .

There for can you please tell me the purpose of foundation? And if I don't need it how can I make my skin look flawless for my wedding
