Great looking piece. I was a little surprised that you left the bark on, but opaque resin took care of any floaters that may have come loose. Great job!

Normally I see woodworkers take the bark off first so the loose bark don't get into the resin. But with this project it worked out perfectly. The loose bark looks like icebergs broken away from the mainland. Very cool how that came out. 😎

Very pretty piece; the resin looks like a massive turquoise inlay. Granted, I didn't see it up close and personal, but I think with all of that burl character I have gone with translucent resin. Why did you choose opaque?
