CUSTOM Art Supply CAROUSEL | Brian Benham Commission

After years of searching for the ideal holder for my large colored pencil collection, I finally designed the perfect carousel and commissioned master woodsmith, Brian Benham, to build it using his vast knowledge and skill of materials and style. How did it turn out? See for yourself!

I am a strong advocate in supporting local artists and craftspeople, respecting the experience and education that goes into their work, the process and expense by which they create it, and the dedication to their craft which should always be reflected in the cost. The piece that Brian created, based on my designs, is a work of art and, if you watch his video, you'll see why.

Please support your local artists and craftspeople. I always say, if you love what they create, consider buying it and giving it a loving home.

_I've been asked, and yes, there a US patent pending on this carousel to protect the intellectual schematics and the design from being used or reproduced without my expressed, written consent. For inquiries or questions, please contact me via email. Thank you!_

Very nice! I use a old spice rack on its side with the jars removed to hold my most used pencils. Yours looks way cooler tho!

Stunning! Function and beauty. I have been noodling in my head how to organize my tools. This is a show stopper. Well done to both of you. Of course my noodling included toilet paper rolls, tomato paste cans, pipes like PVC or other such... also wondered if it should be on a wall? modular? If on the wall what about the weight? The engineering considerations stomped me. I know next to zero about tensile strength. So am at a great disadvantage. Like you I also have markers and some of them prefer to be horizontal. Long ramble to say this would be great for my pencils.

I love this, we are always reluctant to do something like this. Best part it was during an art slump and it sounds like it got you going again. But to give him spec drawings of exactly what you wanted had to be great for him. The only question is the second part, where you put your markers in the old container. It seems like everyone says that they should be stored horizontal? Hope you let us know how that works in the long run for you. A N D way to go Brian!!!

Its gorgeous, but I would have made the holes a bit bigger. So you can store even more in it. But its really a piece of art...

Well it IS pretty. Is it difficult to fish out the short stubby nearly used up pencils? It seems the pencils you use the most get short and would be annoying to get to? Also, I keep my pencils crazy sharp and would be constantly stabbing myself with them all points up like that.
