They need to reprint these, they're either rare or expensive

I remember all of these, not necessarily reading them all, but looking at the covers for hours.

Dude I'd kill to have all 50 books. Great collection!

These are very hard to come across, since they’re all out of print, minus one that DID get a reprint, that being “Please Don’t Feed the Vampire!” which got a tie-in reprint to coincide with the first theatrical film.

The rarest ones tend to be the Special Edition books, which are extremely hard to find online, as is the case with all of them, minus the aforementioned reprint.

Fun Fact:

Tim Jacobus, the original artist for the Goosebumps series, illustrated the very first cover. However, the artist who took over on book #2, Mark Nagata, had replaced Jacobus. Then, on book #25, another artist, Craig White, who used computers to make the illustration, had taken over afterwards.

Another thing some people don’t remember hearing about, and, likely because this was something nobody had that much information on at the time, was that Craig White had illustrated a cover, but the book, to this day, remains unpublished.

Crazy story, huh?

Fun fact: The only book from this series to get a squeal is Escape From The Carnival Of Horrors. Also the books from other series to get squeals in this series are A Night In Terror Tower, and Invasion Of The Body Squeezers. Pretty cool.

I personally really loved the series and how it looked before the newer covers starting with zapped in space. The artwork with the original series just looked so much more eerie and left the mind really wandering.

Camp Run for Your Life and Carnival Of Horrors were the only two I've read.

Goes to show how much that original cover artist draws you in. The newer ones need to have a really good hook on the back to interest me whereas the older ones all look dope to me.

Interesting videos. I am a fan of R. L. Stine, and you clarify so much of all of these different series.

What’s your personal favorite?

My favorite is Little Comic Shop of Horrors, probably because of the comic book theme.

A close second is Danger Time, because of the mythology and time travel themes.

I also thought it was really interesting with the over-the-top and sometimes gruesome bad endings those books tended to have.

They got away with a lot back then.

I've read one of those books as a kid, I think it was the werewolf one.

I wasn't a fan of the art when it changed after book #22. Looks boring and "new school" by comparison. I also liked the holographic element the first 22 had

It would at least cost about $300 to get ever book now

Kind of wish you would’ve shared your thoughts on each of the books.
