Does anyone ACTUALLY LIKE android?

I think the answer is obvious. The more important question is, does it trigger you when someone says that?

I'm curious how many people will comment on the video because of the title without actually watching the video to see the content.... 😅

The main issue is that people view their phone as some type of status symbol, there is a weird "class system" made for the device you use. You combine this with brand loyalty and you have a recipe for disaster.

As a tech enthusiast the answer is yes. I like the OS and actually prefer using it despite liking imessage on my iPhone. I typically swap back and forth depending on what I feel like using.

I don't care if it's Apple or Android, I need it to work for ME. I don't understand why people get all bent out of shape about what phone they have or don't have or what someone else has! 🤦🏼‍♀️ You nailed it though, Travis - the big corps don't give an flying flop about their consumers in general. They just do what they think will sell so they can have your money! 🙄 I do have a preference for all kinds of products, though - from mac & cheese to the paints I use in my art. If someone doesn't like what I like, I'm cool with that - more for me! 😁 I also need to add --- love the shirt 😉 but I don't like ketchup! 😂 Great thought provoking video, Travis! ✌🏼💜😄

I've used both at the same time, due to having a work iPhone and a personal Samsung. For a variety of reasons, I vastly prefer Android, but got crap from iPhone users when I would be on my personal phone versus Android users being totally fine when reaching out on my work phone.

I think many Android users are used to people pressuring them into switching, which causes a chip on their shoulder. This is in part because Apple has made the cross OS communication dismal, so iOS users tend to view Android phones as being horrifically behind the times, when that's not the case at all.

That being said, I do massively criticize Samsung for its recent choices, and the exclusion of the micro SD slot, along with a bunch of other attempts to copy the worst parts of iPhones, has made me extremely dissatisfied. But that's the beauty of Android. If I hate one manufacturer's decisions, I can go to a different company.

Also bravo for calling out consumer bias and purchase identity complexes. People get way wrapped up in things they buy, teams they watch, and politicians that have done nothing for the little people in the past 50 years.

I really enjoy my S22 Ultra but have also had a really trash experience ordering it and being lied to by Samsung reps about price matching and ship dates.

This video got me thinking. I was so against Apple for the past years when they started with the removal of the headphone jack, the notch thing, the removal of the charging brick, that I swore that I would never buy an iPhone. However, all the other brands followed their example and I'm disappointed by that following so I just ordered my first iPhone to see what it is on the other side. If everybody is copying Apple lets see what fuss is all about. Also the thing that pushed me towards Apple is that the prices of iPhones before were so much higher than that of Android phones and nowadays the Samsung phones cost as much as iPhone and even higher so the playing field has leveled. I would also suggest that you post such videos every now and then so we get reminded not to fall for this brand loyalty. Great video ❤

Two days ago I got my first iPhone switching from the pixel 5 and the experience between the two is similar. And even though I am still getting used to the iPhone the pixel phone actually seems simpler and easier to use.

I’ve been an iPhone user for a few years now and I honestly am starting to miss Android. It was a much more fun experience.

Over time I stopped caring too much, I just want a solid phone that works well and reliably. Less of a love/hate thing, more "just work right and we're cool" thing.

I like both. Right now, and for the last 3 years, I just like Apple more. The S22 Ultra (Note) had me drooling when it came out. All my Sammy phones were Notes. LOVELOVELOVE them! Android worked fine and did everything I wanted them to do. As for Apple, same thing. It does what I want/need it to do and I've been assimilated by the Eco-System. I really enjoy my 13 Pro and am going to keep it for several years. I do NOT like the rumored i-Hole design so if that's the case with the 14 and on, I'll likely switch back after 2-3 more years. When I saw the title my reaction was "Is this a joke?" Love the Vid, Travis! Common sense as always.

Great video, as always. Heck, I was a BlackBerry user for more than 20 years (until being forced to switch to the Pixel 6 in January). I still miss the physical keyboard of the BlackBerry devices and, much like the reaction referenced in your video, used to find myself actively defending my need for a physical keyboard throughout most of the last decade or so. Over time, I felt like my dedication to BlackBerry (almost) became a part of my identity. Eventually, realized that I seemed to care even more about their devices than BlackBerry did and had to move on. Have a nice weekend.

I love this series of videos because it causes me to reflect on my own brand loyalty, because everyone gets into a moment where they are hating on a brand for no apparent reason; but these videos really make me think and take a step back.

I always have friends tell me they'll "get me to switch to iPhone one day." No thank you! Lol. I've actually never used an iPhone, but I do know I've always liked feeling like I can tweak almost anything on my device. And some people absolutely hate doing that. Lol. Which is fair.

I just know that I love my s22 ultra, and I'm sure people love their iPhones. Just leave me alone about switching! 🤣

The android experience depends on the OEM. I particularly never liked Samsung or Apple so I have been rocking OnePlus. I intend to go back to the rzar 3 when that comes out because I want a phone that stays in my pocket without distractions.

I’m a huge fan of Android and Apple phones. I love the productivity of my past Note phones, the ease of customizing the phone however. And I love the eco system that Apple has. It’s just hands down smooth and easy. I get excited when a new phone comes out from each system.

Great video Travis. Some people seem to not understand that we all have preferences and like different things.

I used to love and respect Samsung, not anymore. Not feeling any love or admiration for any brand right now. They are all doing sth stupid and unnecessary with the purpose of maximising profits, period. They owe us more than we owe them, without us and our money they are nothing.

I just love the tech! I'm firmly in the Apple eco system with watch, iPad, and phone. But wish I could have a number of cool android phones. Who can't like the Galaxy S22?
