Показать описание
The LG CineBeam Q is a portable (and SUPER cute) 4K LASER Projector - for up to 120-inch TV, Movies & Games. But is it worth buying? (Use Code TECHCHAP100 for $100 Off)

Correction: It only has 1 speaker, not 2.

Why not SUBSCRIBE? (it's free)! 😄

Oh technology. Progress a little more slowly. Whatever I buy, a new thing will come tomorrow. I don't have any money anymore, my money is gone.

You can use the handle for controlling the angle of the view instead of the book you used. 😂

i own it & bought 2 LG Xboom speakers that wirelessly pair in stereo for whatever is playing, with 0 latency issues thanks to the way the projector auto calculates with LG speakers!! sooo cool. highly recommend

I love your videos but can you please include some disclaimer in them to state whether the devices have been sent by the manufacturer and whether or not there has been any sponsorship etc. I think it's very important that you are as transparent as possible. Your channel has awesome quality content so doing the right thing as far as transparency goes will earn you life long subscribers.

that holder can also be used as astand, so you don’t need that book 😂😂

How was your gaming experience regarding the input lag? Specially that GOW ragnarok on 120" looked amazing.

Can you stream YouTube and Netflix from your phones wifi on this?

I'm still use LG projie PW600G, 600 ANSI since 2015. Although still 720p but coming with 1:100.000 contrast ratio still look okay.

One thing that was not included in the video which I think should be included in every projector review is what kind of image technology it uses. Yes, it’s laser, but that’s only the light source. As for the imaging device, I suppose it uses a DLP chip? In that case, is it a single laser light source with a color wheel, or is it a triple laser light source without color wheel? How does the projector actually achieve 4K? Does it use a 1920x1080 0.47” DMD chip combined with XPR pixel shifting to achieve a 3840x2160 resolution? (I suppose it does, since true 4K imaging chips is impossible to manufacture at this price point.) Can it do 120 Hz in 4K mode as well, or is that only in 1080p mode?
Most DLP projectors in this price range only do 60 Hz at pixel shifted 4K, and can only achieve refresh rates higher than 60 Hz if they are being fed with a 1080p signal (which disables the XPR).
It would have been nice to see some more detailed info regarding these things. Great video otherwise, and thanks for the review.

I think it’s unique being so small, 4k and laser. I think it looks great, cost aside. The battery issue can be half tackled by using a PD battery bank via the usb C port.

Really like the 120hz 1080p mode, didn’t know it could do that.

Seems actually really good to me. I wasn't sure about the design at first, but after having closer look on pics and your review (which is great so thanks!), I'm starting to like it. I currently have Philips PicoPix Max which is also good as such, but it's OS is a disaster, apps either not working properly or not working at all, hence considering change. I would definitely go for this one, but not for 900-1000€, more like 500-600.

Almost sold on it, however I mainly wanted it for date night to project on the ceiling. Is this possible/realistic?

Not for $2k AUD here in Australia! Perhaps the steep premium is for the 4K, but I would rather spend half the money on either the XGIMI Elfin or Halo+ (or a chinese market Z7X). Only 1080p but I would take the extra brightness over the 4K anyday of the week (Z7X for example is 1200 ANSI lumens vs the Cinebeam 500 ANSI lumens)

No matter how much of a good projector it is. In oder to harness the full experience like out of a movie theater, you should have a room with black walls in your house which most people don’t have 🫥 So just use black curtains to cover the white walls. Even cover your ceiling with a black fabric as well. Not the best way to do it but it gets the job done. Perfectly works for me. And if you have 4*4 speakers setup with a front firing sound bar…

Gracias.

Hello! I'm about to decide if I buy this nice tiny piece of technology as it fits with what I need (projections from a bed/couch in a dark / dimmed environment). Portability, Auto-Keystone, Resolution and Contrast (0.47'' chip compared to the 0.23'' chip most portable projectors have) are the key decision drivers compared to other portable projectors on the market with better brightness (Halo+, Mars III Air, PicoPix Max TV).

No battery is a shame but not a no-go (external bank will do it), more Lumens would have been great but I guess this will be for the next version(s) of this new series. Thankfully I've got a good sound system at home so the small speaker of this projector shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The only question mark is about the video game input lag: was it OK when you played? Any measurement? I couldn't find the info regarding this aspect on LG's website or anywhere else.

Cheers!
