How do you advance a character as ICONIC as Ryu? Hes been in sooo many games, how do you advance his story and look without alienating so many people who have an idea what Ryu looks like? Well, I think they did it perfectly.

The color of the sash is burgundy red, like Oro’s sash. Maybe that plays a part in his story too

I appreciate that they actually aged the characters and not kept them looking 18 when most of them are in their 50s

I guess with age and experience, Ryu finally learned that fighting barefoot in an alley with broken glass and rocks everywhere wasn't the best idea

Why oh WHY are the men in street fighter 6 so hot, i swear the character designer really gave it their all to make men like Ryu and Zangief absolute daddies, and then Jamie is an absolute hottie as well, we love long haired men with lotsa abs here.

My fav line of post fight dialogue for ryu is when he says he isn't bare foot because he can't buy shoes, he just prefers not wearing them for comfort.

They should never be scared of aging a character gracefully. Chun'li and Ryu look so fucking badass, and I can't wait to see the rest of the characters that will slowly be added.
