Just finished the book. GOD what a journey it was.

Such a great mixture of a mystery and Bildungsroman of Daniel. "Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you." very profound quotes from a suspenseful and epic journey.I enjoyed the metta between Daniel and Julian and the name of the book.

The book is so exciting! Once you discover more about Julian you just cannot stop reading.

I read this book and loved it because it reminded me of things I had forgotten. It reminded me of when I was a child and had the innocence of a heart without wounds. It's an amazing book!

Did you find it a bit odd how easily Bea fell for Daniel? Like first off he's her younger brother's friend and secondly they literally never talked before. That's the only thing that bugged me.

Great review! I agree with you 100% on EVERYTHING! And the twist at the end! I NEVER saw that coming! I think I gasped out loud when I read that part. I used to think the same way about Adult Novels..but over the last year I have started straying further and further away from YA. Which I never in a million years thought I would ever do! But, anymore I like more character development and world building, which is something I tend to struggle with the majority of times that I pick up YA anymore. Not that I don't still read it, but not as much as I used to! So glad I found your channel!

Read it a few years ago then read all his books and two days ago I listened to the audio version which lasted about 16 hours and gave a new slant to the story. I THEN learned that he has died ! I was so shocked especially as I was looking forward to his next books. RIP.

It was an amazing and beautifully written book. Very magnet read. I Loved it a lot. The story really pulls you in. Could not keep it down. It's my favourite book and so is the author.

thanks for this review! I had never heard of this book and just bought it yesterday because I read it is perfect for book lovers. But I'm in the camp of typically avoiding adult lit (preferring fantasy/scifi/ya) so i'm happy to hear this book overcomes a lot of the issues i've had with the adult lit books i've read (save for like, evelyn hugo, red white royal blue hehe)

You popped up randomly when I typed in Ruiz Zafón, This is the first video of yours I watched n I enjoy your input. But I completely agree with you this book had me emotionally involved from beginning to end, "Marina" is also a good one by him.. but I would like to see you do a review on Ken Follet's Century Trilogy starts with The Fall Of Giants don't know if you've read it or not but if you haven't you definitely should n if you have review it
