NextHandled has real "My dad works at Nintendo" energy.

I replaced my JoyCon sticks with third party Hall Effect sticks. Best $30 I ever spent on a controller upgrade. Two years on, no drift, how Hall Effect isn't the industry standard at this point tells me that console manufacturers are fans of Planned Obsolescence.

It must be really hard for these guys to only comment on leaked info when they probably know more than the general public.

60w for the dock would make sense because you can plug usb devices into the dock to charge them. so powering the switch, charging the switch, charging the joycons on the sides of the switch, and charging multiple usb devices could easily pull that many watts.

9:16 There’s actually piece of software out there called joy-con toolkit to remedy the color mismatch.

8:44 Nintendo, Xbox or Playstation won't fix the stick drift problem due to how often they can sell more controllers. Perfect example is the playstation edge thumbsticks that you can buy separately are always out of stock.

12:10 sucks for us that mostly use dock mode.

Maybe, just maybe there are additional "ducts" or airvents on the Switch 2 so a fan in the dock can provide additional cooling if needed?

While I am all about putting pressure on companies to put out more durable products, why does Nintendo get so much crap for drift when Sony and Microsoft have the exact same problem? Heck, my Xbox controllers seem to develop the problem much more quickly.

I haven't played my Switch a lot this year, to be honest. But just an hour ago my son was hogging the TV and I decided to go with some table top mode playing Mario Wonder. That just reminded me how awesome the Switch is. Super excited for Switch 2.

The battery compartment release button on the quest 3 controllers might use a similar way to "release, and push" the controller away from the handheld, also it may even physically move the magnet at the same time, possibly as a 2 directional release, controller is pushed one way, magnet pushed a different direction, like a triangle shaped lever inside that pushes on 1 part, and forces 2 parts away.

Nintendo already named their online service with “Nintendo Switch” built in. I don’t think they will move next console name away from Nintendo Switch.

60w on the dock power supply would be for charging a larger battery faster.

Joy-Cons have always been too small and cramped for comfortable gaming.

Where is the Witcher dude ? (With scar on his face). Hopefully he is just on leave rather than being canceled for something. Good show.

I have one problem with electromagnetic joy-con attachment: if the system/joy-con batteries dry out (on the go), then the joy-con will fall off or what?

So, I’ve seen dummy units being sent out. It looks like it’s to spec size wise for accessory makers, but visually it looks very switch oled. One plus is that it has two USB-Cs, which is fantastic and might allow us to use COTs usb-c to hdmi cables.

Wouldn’t the new joycon magnets intervene with hall sensor joysticks?
