Since you no longer have to call the special department to book an ADA room those like my hubby who need a fully accessible room cannot get one because you can just book it because everyone figured out the rooms are larger.

I find that the limited amount of accessible cabins is frustrating as I like to choose where my cabin is but then again, my disabilities are quite minor compared to some so I’ll leave them to those with more need. But I’m in the UK and have only cruised with Carnival from US ports. I have to say that awareness of the needs of those with mobility issues is so much better in the US and provision for those needs is excellent compared to here. It’s great to see you addressing this in a video. I’ve always wanted to do one myself but don’t have the experience or knowledge to give accurate advice. Thank you x

I am not happy with the lack of excursions on Carnival. There use to be a filter for accessible excursion's and they have completely taken that choice out. You would think that they would increase the availability instead of eliminating it all together.

When I was on the Sunrise in May 2022 just when the ship came from Drydock, tried to use the pool with the lifts and was told that they didn’t work. And that was one of the sole reasons that I picked that actual ship. That made me a bit sad throughout the cruise

I am going on the Valor in 10 days with a scooter…I have an inside cabin this time because they had no other rooms available. I booked 7 months ago and I guess that was to late to get a good accessibility room with a balcony. Anyway my scooter collapses an I will stand it against the wall. It’s an inside cabin so I will keep you posted on how things go. Took a cruise on the Mardi Gras and had the best cabin I could have ask for…won’t be like that this time… this ship is old and I hope it works out ok. When you have disabilities those rooms go really quick. People who don’t need them get them so they have the big bathrooms and bigger room all together.

I have cruised on Carnival with a mild walking disability, and the main problem I had is that getting into the bathroom and then again getting into the shower there were high metal partitions each about a foot tall. It seems like those would be insurmountable for wheelchair users.

I don't need a fully accessible cabin. What I do need are grab bars around the toilet or a higher toilet. Does Carnival have that type of equipment on it's ships?

Would you please do this for Royal Caribbean. We are going on a cruise in early December 2022 and I will need to rent a power scooter to get around. We will be in a handicap accessible balcony stateroom. Thank you!!!
