Seeing Alex trying to crawl while still going in the direction of the bike was making me really anxious. He looked so helpless, glad he came out without any major injury

Oh my, that's the scariest feeling as a rider. Getting knocked off your bike in front of a wave of other riders at full speed. Credit to everyone behind who managed to pick the right paths and I'm glad Alex was able to get up and away from that.
