Kahlil, Excellent job on your first episode! Quality to the nth degree! As a native to the DMV like you, I’m very proud you’re shedding light on its history and Native American origins. Years ago, I checked-out a book about DC’s history from the MLK Library in China Town. It spoke about the Nacostines (sp), the TB-infested shacks for blacks in DC’s alley systems (some of these structures still exist I think), and neighborhoods that had large black populations like Georgetown and Foggy Bottom. History is amazing, and truth is nothing to fear! Wishing you exponential success!
