Love the knife community and think your channel is very representative of the glue there. I’ve always had very positive interactions here and on many other reviewer channels. I’ve seen The Knife Guy about 2 dozen times and ALWAYS enjoy it... even if my wife says “all he’s doing is talking”! Thanks for another great one and congrats for hitting 50. On a personal note, I’m close by you, relatively speaking, in Colorado Springs helping my daughter move. Flight from Pittsburgh and only a carryon so no knife. Get here and for 3 days using her only knife: a tip down serrated S&W Extreme Ops with corrosion and terrible lock stick. A two hand opener... just kill me now!

I appreciate your channel very much. I collect a mixture of vintage (pre-WW2) knives and modern folders, and I've learned a lot here. Let's face it, we are all crazy to one degree or another. If you have a circle of friends that enjoy knives, you are lucky indeed. I think most of us live our lives not meeting more than one or two knife folk, outside of shows and stores. No one wants to hear about our latest score, or show us theirs. No one would ever think about spending the kind of money involved. The idea of carrying a knife is a little off putting to them; even those times you can help someone out with a cutting task, they give you that look that says, " Thanks....freak." I often carry 2 knives, a trad slip joint and a modern, but no way would I ever admit that, except in forums like this. So thank you for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm and providing a virtual gathering place for the knife obsessed.

Wow episode 50, so fast buddy! Yup watched them all! I wish I could say the same about the knife community in my country, but it ain't so. I am trying to create that with my channel for Spanish speakers. I must say that I admire and enjoy being part of this community it really is something to value. So I'll keep on trying to make community and hope you guys can give a little push. Congrats on the 50th buddy, I enjoyed them a lot.

I have maybe 40 EDC type folders. Also, lately I've been on a Microtech kick and I've bought maybe 12 Microtechs just in the past 4 months. I love my collection. My friends just don't understand . They are great people, but they think I'm strange cause I own so many knives. I love to not only use, but also to collect. It is pride of ownership for MYSELF.

Maybe the acceptance comes from having once been in, or evolving into, the same stages. My starter knife was in the 1960’s, when I was a boy and has continued to this day. My stages stopped at around the $500-$600, but it started back with the $5 level. I loved every one of the stages and also enjoyed them. I look back, or forward, with fond memories or great expectations, to every level. I love all of the levels and would help anyone I could.
