My favorite part of the Lucio play at 11:45 is the Mercy noticing him but not knowing she has a gun so she just beats him over the head with her staff lmao

Hello! I'm the person who recruited all the players for this lobby. I can answer some of the burning questions here. Yes some of these players are touching an FPS for the first time ever. Some of them are on controller on PC because they are more comfortable that way and Mouse + Keyboard was a bit too much for them. There's a mix of PC, PS5, and Xbox players in here. A few of them played Overwatch during the beta but haven't played since. Some of them are Fortnite and Destiny players but haven't touched Overwatch before. And well some have only ever played Animal Crossing and Pokemon so it was a huge mix of people. The common rule was none of them have played Overwatch in the last few years and all of them have under 2 hours played. For the first few games we just kind of unleashed them without explaining anything to them. After a while we had coaches in there giving them the basics. They all ended up having a blast and I have a few other friends who want to try the game out so Coach Koby should have more codes soon ;)

Edit: BTW JMayhem was indeed playing on a track pad. And some of them have skins because they were playing on their husband's accounts and consoles/computers.

The Ana not knowing her shots heal allies is 100% accurate for someone playing the game for the first time ever. A friend of mine who started playing when OW2 came out tried Ana and we were asking for healing, and she said she couldn't, her nade is on cooldown. And we were like "no, just shoot us with your normal shots, they heal". The sound of her mind being blown was deafening 😂😂

Also for the record Jay3, Taeleus was being played by Mrs Taeleus that night. And she mainly plays sims and beatsaber so it was a learning curve for her hahaha

we dont realize because we been playing this for years, but the amount of things new players have to learn is huge. I have friend that never played OW1 and tried OW2, this is them. They dont know what "I got you in my sights" mean. They dont know how to use their abilities, what enemy or even friendly ults do. Lest not talk about positioning, ult economy, etc. that is wayyy too advanced. They took a month for them to really get the hang on it. Some people dont have that much patience and feel overwhelmed with the game and leave. Others do get hooked up and start to watch vods to understand the game better. For people at such begginer level, characters like Moira seem very broken, and bastion are scary demons.
