Just brought the Scar 2 few days ago.
And i gotta admit that this laptop is freaking awesome.
Everything is super smooth and lightening fast. I couldn't ask more!

Gaming on that machine is just superb. i finished playing battlefield 1 few hours ago I manage to get average 70FPS on ultra setting. 144hz with 3m response time, everything was buttery smooth.
constantly 5 hrs of gaming and it didn't got Heat at all that much, it stayed under 75°c. great cooling.

I'm just super satisfied with this beast.

I have a Zephyrus M. I love it and wouldn't change it. I had my Zephyrus before I really learned more about some of the other Asus product lines, even after learning about the other products I still feel that the zephyrus was still my preferred choice primarily because of the thunderbolt 3 port, the million other ports and that it ran much cooler than other laptops that it compares to. Given all that, the zephyrus seems to me as a more future proof choice. Port selection is good, and the temps are over all better I feel that the long run results will show this because all the parts will be overall exposed to less heat. Yeah it's missing some things but with the zephyrus there seems to almost always have a solution for that minor problem while other products don't have a solution. To me the zephyrus is a more well rounded laptop that seems to be designed to last longer than other products it compares to. Im Not saying other products won't last long it's just the Zephyrus will last a little longer.

Both are great laptops but I purchased the zephyrus M. I have to say I wasn't expecting that much of a difference. Although without the fps counter a normal person won't be able to tell the difference anyways. Cheers :)

I bought the scar 2.

It has thinner bezels, which is a must for modern laptops.
Also, the general usability in the scar 2 is nicer. It has a ethernet port, a nicer feeling, and a better overall quality feeling.
For the price, I think it's the best option out there, the only thing that's better is the Helios 500 fully upgraded, if you don't mind the extra 4 pounds of weight.
