In this video, we begin a five part video series. As a content creator who has reviewed and talked about a lot of different kinds of blades, you may be shocked at how few I still have in my collection. Which are the ones I really liked enough to remain in my collection.

Nice collection of knives. My wife thinks i have too many guns and knives and fishing gear. I have been collecting these things since the 70s. Im to the point that i think she is right. Till i look around the house and see all the stuff she has collected up over the years. The only difference between me and her is that she gets rid of her stuff and replaces it with something new. Where i buy and keep it mostly. Once in a while, I'll sell something.

I immediately grabbed that Esee Model 4 Tactical after seeing one of your videos on it. That is an amazing defense fixed blade. I’m a big fan of the SOG Seal Pups as well. It was my first fixed blade I got back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. I have some of the newer models, but the one I got back then was a Seki Japan model, which I think it was made with AUS 6 steel. Unfortunately, I had someone sharpen it back in the day and they kinda put a shitty uneven edge on it. I really need to fix it at some point.

Nice selection of keepers. I thought you would have at least twice as much, but now I understand your reasoning.

Bought KABAR for my son-in-law (Marine Corp edition) and grandson USAF. Hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoy your educational videos about all that matters!! Thank you!

Good question.... about what I thought you'd have. A nice set for sure. At my age I've slowed down, I really need a good reason to add. Although with so many cheaper good quality blades out there you can afford a toy now and again.

Your collection is about what I expected. I used to be Ka-Bar fan but I reduced my Ka-Bar collection to an old Camillus USMC Ka-Bar I got for a good price at a small town pawn shop. I've become a fan of the Gerber Strong Arm and other Gerber fixed blades but like you I don't like to accumulate too many blades. Nowadays I try to buy self-defense blades that I can more easily conceal than a Ka-Bar or Gerber Strongarm. There's a lot of good self-defense blades out there and some of the more expensive ones can sometimes be found on the used market (eBay) for a good price. Keep up the good work.

Great knife 🔪 collection ❤. I have at least 100+ knives in my collection. I'm a big fan of EK knives ❤. I carried my Desert EK and folding Kabar in Afghanistan 🇦🇫 in 2006. I thought you would have a bigger collection 🤔.

You have more than I expected. I'm impressed that you still have the Phoenix. I may have to try it out. It is a spitting image of my Tops, only a little smaller.
I do have too many knives, but being in recovery, I'm happy to feed my addictions with knives. You're awesome, and the best logo. Lol. Thanks for all the positivity.

I would have thought you'd have a few more,
but it's a good meaning full collection you have to fit the military definition with SOG and Ka Bar or Ka Bar style fixed blades. 👍
Those are what I call Combat Utility Blades also. 😊

I’m a retired Marine, and a knife enthusiast. Why, 99.9% of the time, the weapons, sat at the armory. And the base regs to boot!. My point, I always trained with blades in my time. Fixed blades are the way to go, but doing so I discovered that the sheath is as important. At the time, MK2(KBARS) was king. Got mine professionally sharpened, regular issue sheath, so was First Sergeant, Sargent Major proof. Training was the way. Remember, best knife was the issued one.
