Double Panniers 7752 & 9600 + Double Headed Black Fives & BR 70013
Показать описание
A massive weekend of Mainline Steam would see the return of Great Western Railways Pannier Tanks in the form of 7752 & 9600. Also running on the final weekend of November, on the Saturday was LMS Black Fives 44871 & 45407 heading the Cathedrals Express from London Euston to Chester via the WCML, and also thrown in for good measure was BR 70013 Oliver Cromwell heading to Crewe on the Christmas Chesireman, running from Bristol Temple Meads via Chester.
The video begins on the Saturday at Beeston Castle, where we have two shots of the Black Fives cruising past in some lovely winter sunshine. A few hours later we relocated at Beeston Castle for the late flyby of 70013 which was running a hour late due to a fatality further down south, but made a impressive sight as it passed us. Now back closer to home we stopped off to catch 44871 & 45407 steaming through Rugely Trent Valley on their return to London. Now Sunday morning and the day i had been waiting for had arrived, and we were treated to two fine displays from Tyseley's Pannier Tanks on the Melton Mowbray Christmas Fayre heading to Melton Mowbray. The tanks are first seen pounding up the incline as they pass Daw Mill, and then later the pair are seen motoring past at East Goscote just after a scheduled water stop. I hope you enjoy the footage from a excellent weekend of mainline steam.
