@sergiolams My amplifier is simply a pioneer SA-560 from 1984, the sound that you can hear in my video is without Eq, plugged into the soundcard of my Pc from the amplifier with no corrections. Probably if you hear "Hum" from your SL 2000 check the gnd connection (the ground) of your turntable on the amplifier, or be sure to have not another electronic equipment near your amplifier.

I own an almost similar turntable called the Telefunken TS950 (used to be the top of the line TFK table) and that has no hum at all even with strobe on (but the strobe is on the left side of the platter instead of right), will soon make a video with sound using a Philips GP412/2 cart, by the way these TS950 are very nice quality tables with a slightly modified "germanized design" compared to the original japanese version SL2000, but internaly the same

you have to turn the unit over and remove the bottom. look inside for where the wires from the strobe connect to the circuit board. use a soldering iron to detach these and the strobe will be disconnected.

I just unsoldered it from the circuit. Now I adjust the pitch by ear.

Mine has the hum too, I have discovered that the strobe seems to be inducing the line frequency hum into the cartridge, at least in my case. Not sure why they decided to place the strobe there instead of the other side. When I disconnected the strobe light, the hum went away.

Best cart you can install on this arm is the Philips GP412/2 or Shure V15/3 with Jico SAS needle

cartridges are standardized so you can put them on you headshell without problem, you can also use a t4p cartridge with an optional adapter, but standard cartriges are usually better
