I mained solo for my entirey of smite so when Manikins became so dominant in the lane I kinda thought it was becoming unfun and was actually kinda scared to queue up as solo, I play Chaac pretty religiously as of recently so this is reassuring. Thank you Papa Incon.

Highly recommend buying shifter’s shield in the solo lane this season. It combos so well with glad shield to give you even more bonus damage and protections

If you have blink, my favorite combo is: (yes, I skipped the auto after the blink because you may be peeled away or hit by a silence in that brief period while you auto). The 2 will often backfire on you and pull you backwards in the chase if you use the 1 first, so I use it early. And the double slow is more valuable to prevent them from running away, especially when movement speed is the only thing that can get you away while silenced. As mentioned in the video, Chaac loves to bully backliners without good movement abilities like Zeus and Morrigan. In that case, this combo will secure the kill almost every time. The support will have to be on high alert for you after you do it once or twice. But since your Ult makes you CC immune and then possibly silences the support along with the mage you dove, there’s little they can do to stop you. I would recommend everybody learn Chaac for their reliable solo lane pick, except Manikan’s bullied you out of lane before Patch 8.1 and I don’t know if it still does because I haven’t played much solo in the last few days.

Chaac being one of my favorite solo laners, one build option that is actually possible for him is transcendence. It sounds crazy, but hear me out. Chaac is the warrior with the best self-healing. Hercules and Tyr might seem to contest him in this, but one is percentage based, the other is amount of enemies based. Chaac's heal needs none of that. It can scale nicely with power, and once you get Cad shield, you can regen a large amount of your health bar. Perhaps a void shield for some protection reduction can make you scary as hell to anyone. If they have a lot of auto attackers and you think you can survive, a bluestone pendant to go for corrupted bluestone makes you an absolute nightmare for AA gods as they have the 3's slow, your axe doubling that slow if you choose, and then corrupted bluestone stealing their attack speed. Chaac normally falls off late but with this build I can stay as a monster to late game AA gods, making them try to get away from me at all costs.
Leveling: 4, 1, 3, 2
you can switch around the latter two of this, but if you build trans early you will need the heal most likely as psuedo defense.
Item build: Sundering axe, trans, warrior boots, hide of the urchin, pridwen, cad shield, replace warrior boots with defense (void shield does nicely here) or heartseeker if you think you can get away with it (if using bluestone, you will need some more defense)
trans can be built when you want, but I would suggest latest would be as your third normal item. Hide of the Urchin can be switched out if you want, I just like it as an option because it gives mana as well increasing your power, a nice substitute for breastplate of valor since pridwen is rather cool. Anti-heal options like pestilence and stuff can be used if needed. I have found Hero's axe can also work as a supplementary defense option if you find yourself trying to hold off a Kali constantly diving your backline as example. You give a shield to the stunned squishy, then lay down a 1/3 combo and suddenly that Kali isn't as confident without popping beads.

I used to be 2 star ymir main in solo lane and at the start of the last season it wasn't going so well so I decided to try out chacc and had a 22 kill game in my fist game with him and now I only play chacc on 2 stars rn
