Not time travel. Inversion.

Time isn't the problem. Getting out alive is the problem.

Fun fact: If you reverse the audio of this track the high-pitched atmospheric audio in the background forms The Protagonist's Theme that is all over the entire score and of course most prominent in the track "The Protagonist".
A beautiful way to show Neil and the Protagonist's relationship.

Neil’s final mission with his closest ally and friend, he has to pretend like they’ve never met before

This makes me feel so sad. I read a comment that Niel and protagonist are just seeing ghosts of each other since they’re going forward and backward in time. Just so sad

*The Protagonist* - “Hey you never did tell me who recruited you Neil”
*Neil* - “Haven’t you guessed by now? YOU did!”

One of the slickest tracks to introduce a character.

Neil is the friend at Dusk. A friend you can trust in a Twilight world. It hits really different after the ending .

It is so clear at the second viewing. This track sounds very like old friends reunion. I imagine this is the bgm when the Protagonist finds Neil and recruits him in the future.

Ludwig nailed it especially with the synth sounddesign, this whole soundtrack is so electrifying emotional

Upon first time watching this movie you are experiencing everything through the perspective of the protagonist as everything is fresh and weird for you while trying to grasp the concept step by step.
Upon the second viewing you are observing the events through the perspective of Neil as a much more experienced individual than the protagonist and you knew exactly what and how everything is going to happen.
And finally re-watching it over and over again is just like how the whole cycle loops for eternity.

I need Tenet 2 with their friendship story.

The beginning of this song reminds me a feeling of a friend I’ve yet to meet, a distance memory from the future that I have never experienced before.

Whenever I heard this song I would imagine me sitting on a chair, meeting a familiar person that I am meeting him/she for the first time. My mind is trying to figure out who is this, the feeling tried to grasp what seems to be logical but at the same time it makes no sense. Yet it tells me that this person is the one you can trust.

Göransson really nailed it. He was the perfect choice for this movie.

The last part of music where they are launched with "bungee-jumpable" technique

In the film, the moment they start having small talk is when this piece shifts its chord progression to something that feels more grounded and emotional than the initial chords when the piece begins. A very nice piece that accompanies this scene.

Watching Tenet for the first time and experiencing this score through the eyes of the Protagonist, I knew its beautifully composed but there's something indescribably ominous and mysterious about the notes.

MAJOR SPOILER BELOW

Then I get to the ending and now I think about that same scene from Neil's shoes and it just adds so much gravity. I imagine the strange feeling Neil must have knowing the deep history they share, knowing he can't say a word and that his friend of many years hasn't even lived through it yet. Working for him but here he is in this weird twisted path in time, introducing him to the journey he's about to embark on

Brilliant work by both Christopher Nolan and Ludwig Göransson
