➡️Description:
In this video, we'll explore the process of drafting a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) - an important legal tool to address genuine issues affecting the public.

If you find yourself facing a genuine issue, but lack the resources to hire a lawyer, there's still hope. You can write to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) about the matter. If the CJI acknowledges the issue's genuineness and your lack of resources, the Court may treat your matter as a PIL.

Before moving to the Court, it's essential to conduct thorough research. Start by carefully examining the documents and organizing them chronologically, like a storybook. Segregate the documents into three parts: date, particulars of the documents, and their sources.

Once you have a clear storyline, research the relevant laws that support your case. Check if any PILs have already been filed on the same issue to avoid duplication.

When drafting a PIL, be extremely cautious about what you seek in your petition. Be specific and avoid any loopholes or ambiguity. Your drafting should leave no room for doubt, ensuring a strong and compelling case before the Court.

Remember, PILs are powerful tools for social change, but they require careful preparation and attention to detail.
