Poor kid, poor family. RIP, little man.

I worked for a Jumper company for years. Never let your kid in a bounce house that isn't properly staked to the ground.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened. It's even been used as a plot on TV shows. People just don't learn. They're fun but they have to be firmly attached to something heavy.

I don't understand why these things aren't designed with breakaway tops so if the wind tries to pick it up, the "roof" will just pop off before the thing goes airborne. Also, they need to be more than staked to the ground. They should be tied off to at least 2 vehicles or other very heavy/fixed objects so if it does go airborne, it won't get more than a few feet off the ground.

Why are you allowing children in jumphouses not staked in ?

This happens too many times and the cause is the bounce houses weren't staked down.

So they aren't any ropes that holds the bounce house, so it doesn't soar in the air?

Again? How many times does this have to happen?

I have my patio shade secured to my deck with tie downs and screws because of winds. How is a bounce house not secured to something that will not move? Sand bags or cinder blocks or even a metal tray.

I worked for a sketchy bouncy house company. I will never allow anyone I love to put their kids in those things. It’s just stakes and sandbags holding those balloons down. No one supervising. Not to mention cleanliness.

That’s why they should always be anchored to the ground. Wind can get powerful any moment. Sad for the poor kid.

Bouncing play equipment are so dangerous. Some collapse and smother children inside, others may become airborne with sudden subtle shifts within the atmosphere. Parents be aware; you’ve been forewarned. 🙏

Having to bury a child at age age is heartbreaking but 5 years old not even in 1st grade 😢 heartbreaking

No parent should let their kids play in those inflatable houses. Even if the weather forecast predicts no wind for the day, a freak gust could come out of nowhere and throw that bouncy house into the air and it’s anybody’s guess children are in it, or if they’ll survive without serious injuries or death.
